The State secretary of CPI (ML) Indresh Maikhuri has criticised the Uttarakhand government for increasing the charges of electricity in the State. He said that the double engine government of BJP is continuing to load the people of the State who are already reeling under the effect of price rise. Demanding immediate roll back on increasing power tariff Maikhuri said that even the consumers falling under the Below Poverty Line (BPL) have been loaded with the burden of increase in tariff of power. He said that it is an irony that the villages and towns of Uttarakhand have to lose their very existence to pave the way for setting up power projects and the affected people are not even getting cheap electricity.
