Tayyab Ji’s 168th birth anniversary
Veteran freedom fighter Abbas Tayyab Ji remembered
To commemorate the 168th birth anniversary of veteran freedom fighter Abbas Tayyab Ji, the Abbas Tayyab Ji Educational and Charitable Trust on Sunday expressed tributes to the freedom fighter.
At a function held at Tasmia Academy in Dehradun, the Trust recalled the contribution of Tayyab Ji in the freedom movement. Chief Guest Rajpur MLA Khajan Das too lauded the role of Taiyyab Ji as a freedom fighter in India’s independence movement particularly his association with Mahatma Gandhi. He said Taiyyab Ji was a social worker too who worked towards the cause of female child education.
Earlier, National Vice President of the Trust, Dr S. Farooq also talked about Taiyyab Ji’s contribution to India’s independence and stated that it is important for today’s generation to remember who all were the heroes of India’s independence movement. Meanwhile, the trust also presented scholarships in education and training to underprivileged girl students on the occasion.
