Team ‘Rockstar’ reunite via Zoom meeting to celebrate its 10th year anniversary

On Thursday, Ranbir Kapoor (actor), A.R Rahman (music composer), Imitiaz Ali (director), Irshad Kamil (lyricist), Sanjana Sanghi (actor) and Anil Mehta (cinematographer) reunited via zoom meeting to celebrate its 10th year anniversary. Ali’s directorial ‘Rockstar’ released 10 years ago on November 11, 2011 and had left the audience spellbound particularly milennials with its beautiful story. Sanjana Sanghi posted a picture on instagram and called the journey of Rockstar magical. She also thanked A.R Rahman for bringing them impromtu.
The Ranbir Kapoor- Nargis Fakhri starrer is reminisced even today for its memorable soundtrack created by the epic duo- A.R Rahman (producer) and Irshad Kamil (lyricist). It is a cult movie and people have had opposing views after watching it. Despite the mixed reactions, Kapoor’s potrayal of Janardhan Jakhar or Jordon and the character’s toxic nature later in the movie has always been a highlight. Nargis Fakhri as Heer even though not getting enough appreciation for playing the part, her performance in showcasing the frailty of the character in second half of the movie was noteworthy and therefore Rockstar proved to be a big break for her in the bollywood industry. The movie also has Shammi Kapoor, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Piyush Mishra in supporting roles.
