In latest Uttarakhand news, with the search and rescue operation being carried on in the landslide-hit taxi parking lot on New Tehri Road in Chamba, one more body has been recovered from a car buried under the debris. With the recovery of the body from under the landslide debris, the death count in the Tehri landslide incident has risen to five. Four bodies, including that of an infant, were recovered from the landslide-struck site on the day the disaster occurred. Sharing these details, the spokesperson of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Lalita Das Negi said that the fifth body has been handed over to the district police. She further said that the fifth deceased has been identified as Sohan Singh Rawat (34), resident of Kirgani village in Tehri district.
