Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated virtually in the Tehsil Diwas programmes organised in all Tehsils of the State on Tuesday.
The CM listened to the problems of the people and directed the officers concerned to resolve them immediately. He said that Tehsil Diwas is a strong platform for resolving the problems of the common people and the government’s goal is that every complaint should be resolved within the stipulated time.
On a stern note, the CM directed the officers that the problems of the common people should be resolved at the local level on Tehsil Diwas, so that people do not have to go to the district headquarters and State capital.
He said that along with quick resolution of complaints, regular follow-up of other complaints should also be ensured.
Directing the officers to take Tehsil Diwas seriously, the CM said that the ineligible persons who have made documents like Ayushman card, ration card, permanent residence certificate and caste certificate on the basis of wrong information should also be identified. Dhami said that strict action should be taken to stop encroachment on government land, riverbeds and other public properties.
He directed that a committee headed by SDM concerned should be constituted at the tehsil level to resolve land disputes. The officers of Police, Forest and Irrigation departments will be members of the committee and it will also be responsible for preventing encroachment on government land.
The CM said Sewa Pakhwada will commence in the State on the occasion of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. Exhorting the people to participate in the programme organised during the Sewa Pakhwada, the CM said that it is a powerful medium to connect the society and promote the spirit of service.
He said that since many parts of the State are suffering from natural disaster the officers should quickly assess the damage and expedite the relief and reconstruction works.
The CM also directed the officers to be compulsorily present in the meetings of BDC and district Panchayat. He said that by participating in these meetings, the officers will get information about the real problems arising at the village level and a concrete action plan can be made towards their solution.
Chief secretary Anand Bardhan, DGP Deepam Seth, secretaries Shailesh Bagauli, Vinay Shankar Pandey and other senior officers also attended the meeting in a virtual medium.
