Temperatures likely to rise, light rain forecast in three districts

The maximum temperature increased by three degrees Celsius to 35.1 degrees Celsius in Dehradun on Thursday. Other parts of the State also registered an increase in the maximum temperature by one to three degrees Celsius on Thursday. The State meteorological centre has forecast that the maximum temperatures are likely to increase by two to three degrees Celsius at many places in Uttarakhand during the next four to five days. While Dehradun is likely to get hotter today, some parts of three mountainous districts may experience light rain.
The meteorological centre has forecast that very light to light rain/thunderstorm/snow are likely to occur at isolated places in the higher reaches of Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts on Friday. Dry weather is likely to prevail in remaining districts. The provisional State capital Dehradun is likely to witness mainly clear skies with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be about 36 degrees Celsius and 17 degrees Celsius respectively on Friday. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Thursday were 35.1 degrees Celsius and 17.6 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 36.2 degrees Celsius and 14.4 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 25.3 degrees Celsius and 10.5 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 25.3 degrees Celsius and 13.1 degrees Celsius in New
