Temperatures have already started soaring to levels above normal in the first week of April in various parts of the State. On Saturday, the maximum temperature in Dehradun reached four degrees Celsius above normal to 35 degrees.
The weather conditions are expected to remain similar on Sunday with the State Meteorological Centre forecasting dry weather across the State. The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly clear sky with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be 35 degrees Celsius and 15 degrees Celsius respectively on Sunday.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Saturday were 35.2 degrees Celsius and 15.8 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 35.2 degrees Celsius and 12.5 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 24.8 degrees Celsius and 10 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 25.4 degrees Celsius and 11.8 degrees Celsius in Tehri.
