In latest news from Uttarakhand, people standing in queue for offline registration for Char Dham yatra brawled in Haridwar, warranting police intervention to cool the frayed tempers. The offline registration commenced at 7 am as per schedule. Those who, despite standing in queue since late night hours, failed to get their names registered by 8 am started shouting at police personnel deployed there. They alleged that police were behind the commotion. Police said it took long persuasion on their part to restore order and make people stand in the queue again.
