Thakur launches Kumaon leg of Vijay Sankalp Yatra

Monday, 20 December 2021 | PNS | Bageshwar

Keeping the focus on development achieved in the state and nation by the Bharatiya Janata Party governments compared to past governments of the Congress, Union minister Anurag Thakur said that the BJP will comfortably win the coming Assembly election in Uttarakhand. Thakur said this while addressing a large public gathering at the launch of the Kumaon leg of the party’s Vijay Sankalp Yatra in Bageshwar on Sunday. Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, BJP State president and other senior party leaders were also present at the launch of the party’s Yatra.

Thakur said that there were various scams during the term of the Congress-led UPA government whereas the NDA government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has focused on expediting development works during its term in office so far. “We have given a corruption-free, development oriented government. The Modi government did the work of providing free ration to 80 crore people for 20 months. The work of constructing toilets and pucca houses for the poor is also being done consistently. India is steadily moving towards self reliance,” he said.

Addressing the gathering Kaushik said that the Congress frequently lies to the public while also accusing the Aam Aadmi Party of deceiving the public.

CM Dhami said that the large crowd gathered at the launch of the Vijay Sankalp Yatra in Bageshwar substantiates the belief that the BJP will win the assembly polls with a strong majority. He reiterated that necessary work is being done to execute all the announcements made by the state government. Consistent effort is being undertaken to ensure that both Uttarakhand and the nation keep on moving ahead on the developmental path. Dhami said that the recruitment to vacant government posts is being expedited with 24,000 posts slated to be filled soon.

It will be recalled that BJP national president JP Nadda had launched the Garhwal leg of the Vijay Sankalp Yatra from Haridwar on Saturday.
