THDC India Limited celebrated its 36th foundation day at the corporate office in Rishikesh, its project offices and unit offices on Wednesday. Addressing the gathering, the chairman and managing director R K Vishnoi, spoke of the corporation’s journey over the past 35 years. He said that things were not smooth and they had passed through difficult phases while taking on multiple challenges.
He further said that at present, it is celebrating its moments of triumph and accomplishments that have embellished its history. He also emphasised the pivotal role being played now by the corporation in the power sector while highlighting the significant transformation witnessed in the past one year.
Further, he felicitated the former chairman and managing director M L Gupta with Naman Award for his contributions leading to the corporation’s current success. Moreover, he along with the director (Personnel) and director (Technical) felicitated the winners of various competitions organised by the corporation for the employees and their families. Various cultural programmes were also organised to mark the occasion.
