THDCIL CMD reviews progress of 1,000 MW PSP in Tehri

The chairman and managing director of THDC India Limited, RK Vishnoi conducted a comprehensive review of the 1,000 MW Tehri Pumped Storage Project (PSP) during his Tehri visit on Monday. The meeting was attended by director (Technical) Bhupender Gupta and HOP (TC) LP Joshi, among others.
According to THDCIL officials, all ongoing activities at various project locations and the progress at various work fronts were reviewed threadbare in the course of the meeting. The visit included examination of critical work fronts like upstream surge shaft, butterfly valve chamber, downstream surge shaft, powerhouse and tailrace tunnel outfall area. Vishnoi said that the Union Government had laid great emphasis on harnessing renewable energy, adding that they were feeling happy with the commissioning stage of the country’s biggest 1,000 MW Tehri PSP (4 x 250 MW) drawing near.
