The chairman and managing director, THDC India Limited RK Vishnoi informed on Thursday that THDCIL and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee have signed a memorandum of understanding to embark on a collaborative journey in advancing research and development endeavours in the fields of science, engineering and technology. He further said that the MoU outlines the commitment of both institutions to engage in a wide array of research activities, encompassing domains including energy conservation, alternatives to Li-Ion storage batteries, nano technology for electric vehicle batteries, green hydrogen, geo-thermal technology, climate change and waste management, among others. IIT Roorkee director KK Pant said on the occasion that they aimed to bridge the gap between academia and industry through this collaboration, contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat.
