THDC India Limited (THDCIL) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited (CSPGCL) and Government of Chhattisgarh for the development of a 1400 MW pump storage based hydro-electric power project at Dangari in Jashpur district. Among those who attended the MoU signing ceremony were the chief minister of Chhattisgarh, Vishnu Deo Sai and chief secretary, Chhattisgarh, Amitabh Jain.
Hailing the MoU, the chairman and managing director, THDCIL, R K Vishnoi said that the Dangari PSP would generate employment opportunities and create a positive socio-economic impact in the region, adding that they were committed to expanding renewable energy portfolio and strengthening India’s energy security.
