THDC India Limited has successfully achieved lowering of stator (250 MW, weight: 321 Ton) in the generator pit of Unit # 07 (3rd Unit) of 1000 MW Tehri pumped storage plant (PSP) on Wednesday. During this event, L P Joshi, executive director (Tehri Complex and Arunachal Pradesh Projects) and other senior officials of THDCIL and M/s GEPIL were present.
Joshi said that with this, THDCIL has progressed one step closer towards the commissioning of India’s first variable speed pumped storage plant (4X250 MW), adding that THDCIL is now one of the premier power generators in the country with installed capacity of 1587 MW with the commissioning of Tehri Dam HPP (1000MW) and Koteshwar HEP (400MW) in Uttarakhand with others.
