THDC India Limited claimed to have successfully lowered Butterfly Valve (BFV) of the first Unit (U#5, 250 MW) of 1,000 MW Tehri PSP on Thursday, a major step towards commissioning of 2,400 MW Tehri Power Complex.
Commending the success, the THDCIL chairman and managing director RK Vishnoi said that this successful BEV placement had set the stage for achieving full operational capacity for India’s largest 2,400 MW Hydro Power Complex with 1,000 MW Tehri HPP and 400 MW Koteshwar HEP already in operation and added that the recent success would play a pivotal role in the Government of India’s vision to integrate over 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030 and the country’s commitment to achieving net zero carbon emissions.
