With an aim to promote cultural awareness among students, The Asian School, in collaboration with the Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth (SPIC MACAY), organised a lecture-cum-demonstration on Tuesday on its premises. Many artists were present during the programme.
Various cultural performances were showcased during the event. Artist Khumukcham Romendro Singh, along with other artists, presented a Manipuri stage performance Dhumal, which is a popular form of Manipuri dance. Additionally, the Pung Cholam performance enlightened the students about the evolution of Manipuri dance.
Further, the artists also answered questions posed by the students. The programme not only provided entertainment but also imparted interesting information to the students.
