The staff and students of The Asian School competed against each other in a cricket match on Monday with the students winning the match by 11 runs.The staff team also comprised members of the school management including vice president Madanjeet Singh Juneja and director Gaganjyot Juneja.
The day- night match commenced with the staff team winning the toss and electing to bowl first leading to the students’ team scoring 153 runs for 2 wickets in 20 overs. Further in the competition the staff team scored 143 runs, all out in 18.3 overs. The students team won the Late Sardarni Kawaljeet Kaur Trophy by 11 runs. Bhoomi Umar of class X bagged the Best Batters Trophy scoring 51 runs, not out and Achyut Airan of class XII received the Best Bowler’s Trophy taking three wickets in four overs while conceding 18 runs.
