The road route to Badrinath shrine was cleared on late afternoon of Thursday. With this the Yatra to all the four Dhams has started. The road to Badrinath was blocked at many places in Chamoli district due to the landslides. The Commander of Border Roads Organisation (BRO), Colonel Manish Kapil said that the debris had blocked the Badrinath highway at 15 places but now the road has been cleared. After the BRO cleared the road, the vehicles stranded from the last four days were sent to their destination. In a statement the media in charge of Devsthanam board said that pilgrims are heading towards the Char Dhams from Rishikesh and Haridwar bus terminals. He said that governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari would pay obeisance at Badrinath shrine on Friday evening and he would also visit the border village of Mana on the day.
