On the occasion of the World Theatre Day, the Himalaya Art and Culture Society organised a programme at Shri Ram Sewak Sabha premises here where thespians and theatre enthusiasts presented various commemorative performances.
The organisers said that the programme was primarily focused on the history of theatre, followed by poetry recitations and other performances. Veteran theatre artists Zahoor Alam, Idris Malik, H S Rana, and D K Sharma spoke about how, despite hardships, the artists based in Nainital have demonstrated dedication to the cause of theatre and how many of them are now doing exceptionally well in this field.
Among others present on the occasion were Mithilesh Pandey, Mohit Sanwal, Dilawar Siraj, Nasir Ali, Pawan Kumar, Neeraj Dalakoti and Kaushal Shah Jagati.
