Third Swarnshalaka competition begins at Patanjali

The third Swarnshalaka competition was inaugurated at the University of Patanjali here on Thursday. This two-day competition is being attended by 141 participants from across India to debate. The aim of this event is to revive the deep thought of ancient India’s knowledge system.
The university’s chancellor Swami Ramdev said that ancient scriptures and Sanatan tradition help in developing leadership qualities and providing a direction to life. One developes positive characteristics through the scriptures and also experiences joy in life. He said that this competition is an important initiative in the direction of spiritual revival. The University of Patanjali, Acharyakulam and Bharatiya Shiksha Board are together proving that the scriptures are not limited to Gurukuls but are also a guiding force for society.
The university’s vice chancellor Acharya Balkrishna thanked all the guests, speakers and participants on the occasion. He said that listening to scriptures generates spiritual power in a person.
He urged the students to imbibe Sanatan culture, stating that it is the path to mental development and a prosperous society. This competition shows that the University of Patanjali is not only a centre of Vedic education and research but also represents India culture and Sanatan values, he added.
