In latest Uttarakhand news, as per the report of the internal survey conducted by BJP, the MPs in three out of the five Lok Sabha seats of the State are stated to be in vulnerable conditions. The report further says, as per sources privy to it, that though the party is still standing on strong grounds with groundswell of support from the people remaining intact, the people’s support behind these three MPs is supposed to be on the declining curve. Things are murky about who these three MPs are, but it is a fact that the saffron top brass is seriously thinking of changing the candidates in these three LS constituencies. The party has already hit the poll mode for the 2024 general election. A section of the party leaders, however, think that as the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will again be the mascot for the electoral battle in Uttarakhand, the candidature factor will not be that important. It is learnt from the State party sources that the feedbacks have been received from PMO, the party’s national leadership and State party organisation. The saffron party strategists are trying to ensure that the party wins again all the five LS seats up for grab with bigger margins in 2024 election.
