In a fatal accident in Dehradun district, three people died and one sustained serious injuries after a vehicle plunged nearly 400 metres into a deep gorge near Jajreda on the Dehradun-Chakrata road on Thursday morning. The incident took place when the driver of the vehicle reportedly lost control and veered off the road, the Dehradun senior superintendent of police Ajai Singh said.
He stated that following the alert, teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Dakpatthar post and local police reached the site and launched a joint rescue operation.
