Three killed, two injured in car accident in Udham Singh Nagar

With fatal accidents rising in frequency across the State, threeyoung men died and two sustained serious injuries after the car they were travelling in reportedly lost control and overturned near BSB Inter College in Jaspur area of Udham Singh Nagar district late on Monday night. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, the officials said. They informed that the police team reached the accident spot upon receiving information late at night.
The deceased were identified as Shahrukh, Aamir and Khalid who are residents of Chand Masjid, Rahmatnagar area of Jaspur. The police sent the bodies for post-mortem examination. The officials informed that the accident was so severe that the car was completely wrecked. According to them, the primary inquiry showed that the person driving the car was overspeeding due to which he lost control and the car overturned, resulting in the death of three men and injuries to two.
However, the police said that they have started examining the circumstances that led to the fatal crash and it will be too soon to say what exactly caused the accident. The injured will also be questioned once their health gets stable, the officials added.
