Three women of Haryana swept away by Ganga

Three women of Haryana were swept away in the Ganga river in the Raiwala area while taking a bath in the river early on Sunday morning.
The police informed that Raiwala police station in-charge Bhuvan Chandra Pujari received a report at 4:15 AM that three women aged 24, 34 and 36 years along with their family members from Sonipat in Haryana had arrived at Geeta Kutir Ghat in the early morning to take a bath in the Ganga river but the women were swept away by the strong current of the river at about 4:10 AM.
According to Pujari, the police force along with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) had started the rescue operation immediately in the morning but the missing women could not be found till late in the evening on Sunday.
