Thunderstorm warning issued for State today

The State meteorological centre has issued a warning (alert) regarding the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/hail very likely to occur at isolated places in districts of the State on Friday. Apart from this, light to moderate rain/ thunderstorm/ snowfall are very likely to occur at many places in the State’s districts with snowfall likely to occur at places situated at altitudes of 3,500 metres and above. The provisional State capital Dehradun is likely to experience rain/thunderstorm today with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be about 28 degrees Celsius and 15 degrees Celsius respectively.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various places on Thursday were 30.2 degrees Celsius and 15.4 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 29.8 degrees Celsius and 13 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 17.5 degrees Celsius and seven degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 19.8 degrees Celsius and 8.3 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
