The State meteorological centre has issued a warning (watch) regarding the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/hail and gusty wind (30-40 kmph) likely to occur at isolated places in the State on Saturday. The centre has forecast that light to moderate rain/thunderstorm/snowfall are likely to occur at many places in the districts of the State today while snowfall is likely to occur at places situated at altitudes of 3,500 metres and above.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness partly cloudy to generally cloudy skies on Saturday. Light rain/ thunderstorm with gusty winds (30-40 kmph) are also likely to occur in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 33 degrees Celsius and 17 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Friday were 33.3 degrees Celsius and 16.9 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 31.6 degrees Celsius and 17 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 21.5 degrees Celsius and 6.3 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 22.5 degrees Celsius and 9.3 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
