In latest news from Uttarakhand, tiger killed a woman aged about 60 years in Ringora village near Ramnagar. Forest officers said that when Tulsi Devi along with a few village women were cutting grass near the highway a big cat pounced on her and dragged her towards the Koshi river. After the villagers informed the forest department, senior officers of Ramnagar forest division rushed to the spot and found the woman’s body 500 metres away from Koshi river.
The angry villagers brought the body back to the village on foot and then staged demonstration against the forest department on the highway.
