All the schools and Anganwadi centres in Rikhanikhal and Dhumakot tehsils in Pauri district will stay closed till April 26 due to the tiger terror. The district magistrate Ashish Chauhan has issued an order in this matter. He further asked the people of the district maintain vigilance with the tiger remaining elusive. Notably, the tiger made two villagers of Rikhanikhal and Dhumakot tehsils its victims in the past. Subsequently, the DM ordered closure of schools till April 18 and it was then extended till April 21. After Id holiday and Sunday, the DM has further extended the closure of schools and anganwadi centres for three more days.
Although the forest department and the administration teams have been trying hard to capture the man eater tiger the animal has so far remained elusive.
