A Tiranga Yatra was taken out in Doon University on Saturday. Organised as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign, the students and faculty members participated enthusiastically in the event. An awareness campaign against the menace of drugs was also organised on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the vice chancellor of the university Surekha Dangwal said that the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrating 75 years of the independence of the country would help the younger generation to understand the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters. She said that the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav has unleashed a new energy and has inspired the younger generations of our country. The registrar of the university MS Mandarwal, dean of student welfare HC Purohit, faculty members, employees and students took part in the Tiranga Yatra.
