Tourism development possible along with rise in hotel business: Bhattacharjee

It is possible to ensure tourism development along with a rise in the hotel business. The newly appointed general manager of hotel Namah Nainital, Medhatithi Bhattacharjee said this while addressing the media here on Tuesday. He said that the arrival of foreign tourists is expected to increase with the hotel becoming a member of Radisson Individuals Retreats.

He said that the Radisson hotel group is also working towards Atmanirbhar Bharat and lending a new identity to hospitality in the nation. Encouraging Kumaoni culture, food and traditions will take tourism in the city to new heights. The hotel will host special traditional events during the coming festivals of Deepawali, Holi, Ghee Sankranti, Harela and Uttarayani, among others, he said. Bhattacharjee said that the hotel also has a wide range of national and international cuisines to offer to its guests. However, traditional Kumaoni dishes will also be served to tourists considering both health and taste. A special kitchen garden is also being developed in the hotel for this purpose to source fresh vegetables and other produce, he added. At present Bhattacharjee is also handling the charge of GM at the Namah Corbett resort. Chief chef Shvangi, managers Ashutosh Bhandari and Bishan Dutt were also present on the occasion.
