In latest news from Doon, a car ferrying tourists from Haridwar to Dehradun caught fire at the Vidhan Sabha Tiraha near Rispana bridge. Police personnel from the Nehru Colony police station who were deployed at nearby areas rushed to the spot and pulled out the passengers stuck inside the burning car by breaking its doors.
Police said that there were six passengers in the car and they, all hailing from Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh, were coming to Sahastradhara when smoke was found billowing out of the car’s bonnet.
