In latest news from Uttarakhand, with the summer tourist season peaking, the roadside parking problem has reappeared in the town, causing traffic snarls. People say that vehicles parked on roadside along a long stretch from Jail Gate on Nainital-Haldwani Road and from the university gate to Bara Pathar in Mallital are worseing the traffic jams. They also say that police patrolling has failed to solve the traffic congestion problem.
Taking a serious note of the situation, the circle officer Sumit Pandey said that stern action would be taken against those parking vehicles on roadside in the town and such vehicles would be towed away.
