Tourists in thousands throng Nainital on New Year’s Day

In latest news from Nainital, the Nainital town was chock-a-block with tourists who came from across the country to celebrate the advent of the New Year and they visited the revered temples nestled in the hills. Aside from the temples, they visited interesting places which beckon the tourists all the year round. The temples which recorded maximum footfalls on that day included Naina Devi temple, Pashan Devi temple, Hanumangarhi temple, Dev Mandir, Shiv Mandir on Mall Road, Ganganath Temple and those located on the Haldwani Road. The visitors offered puja at these temples while the people from the Tibetan origins visited the Buddha monastery in Sukh Nivas.  Besides, the gurudwaras and the churches also drew thousands of devotees.  Further, the tourists enjoyed boating in Naini Lake.
