Traffic diverted on various roads today

Traffic on various roads in Dehradun will remain diverted today in view of the President Ram Nath Kovind’s visit to the Indian Military Academy passing out parade.

During departure of the President, traffic will be diverted/zero zone set at the Dehradun airport, Bhaniyawala tri-junction, Rispana bridge, Raipur, EC Road, New Cantt Road, Vijay Colony bridge, Raj Bhawan, CM residence tri-junction, GTC helipad, Garhi Cantt Chowk, Kaulagarh Chowk, Ballupur Chowk, IMA area and other VVIP routes.

During the IMA PoP from 6 AM to 3 PM the traffic going via Ballupur Chowk to Premnagar/Selaqui/Vikasnagar will be diverted to Shimla bypass via GMS Road and Saint Jude’s Chowk. The heavy vehicles from Vikasnagar to Dehradun will be diverted from Herbertpur Chowk to Dharmawala Chowk to reach Shimla bypass for reaching Dehradun. All four-wheelers from Selaqui/Bhauwala/Suddhowala to Dehradun will be diverted from Dhulkot tri-junction towards Nayagaon via Singhaniwala.

The traffic coming from Premnagar towards Dehradun will be diverted from Mithiberi on the Daru Chowk-Gorakhpur tri-junction-Badowala Road-Shimla bypass route.

The police have appealed to residents, especially those in Premnagar, Selaqui and Vidhan Sabha area to minimise use of four-wheelers to avoid inconvenience due to the VVIP arrival, Vidhan Sabha session and IMA PoP.
