Acting on the order of the superintendent of police, Uttarkashi, Arpan Yaduvanshi, traffic police clamped down on parking rule violators on Wednesday. As per the police claim, they have impounded and slapped challans on 27 four wheelers and two wheelers found parked on roadside in violation of the parking rules. While stressing that such drives would continue in the coming days to check obstructive parking in the roads, the district police brass urged the people to park vehicles at the designated parking places only and not to create traffic chaos by parking vehicles haphazardly on roadsides. They sought cooperation from the people to help ensure that the commuters do not face difficulty in navigating on congested roads.
