Training program commences at Govt PG College at Maldevta

To enhance financial literacy, a four-day training programme recently commenced at the Government Post- Graduate College at Maldevta, Raipur. The college officials said that this programme is being conducted under Project Gaurav.
On the third day of the programme on Saturday, a speaker Avinash Bhatnagar provided insights to the college staff. He dwelt on various matters related to financial literacy, including insurance, emergency funds, savings, capital investment and post-retirement planning. He emphasised the importance of profitable capital investments for securing a stable financial future.
Apart from this, during this session, he explained the differences between shares and mutual funds and elaborated on the benefits of Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs). Also, he addressed queries from the college staff regarding small-cap, large-cap, mid-cap, flexi-cap investments and gold bonds. Additionally, he provided guidance to students on how to invest capital in the stock market.
The programme was attended by the principal V P Aggarwal and the nodal officer of the college unit of Project Gaurav, Jyoti Khare.
