Trains halted midway, suspended with tracks under rainwater

In latest news from Uttarakhand, the incessant and heavy rain has disrupted life in Lalkuan, The railway tracks are now under water. People said that the rainwater entered the rail tracks from the side of the forests after a rivulet swelled. In view of this, movement of trains have been suspended. The trains bound for Kathgodam are being halted at Rudrapur. Some trains have been suspended.
Meanwhile the water level of Gaula river keeps rising and soil erosion is happening in Bidukhatta as intense rain continues to batter the Kumaon region.
