In latest news from Dehradun, as per the order of the State additional director of secondary education, Garhwal Board, S B Joshi, the transfer of the licensed teachers (LT) posted in the schools in inaccessible areas in the division has been put on hold for a week, considering the inaccessible category schools’ special geographical locations. However, the order further states that currently the matter remains under the consideration of the State administration. Notably, following the transfer of the LTs to inaccessible category schools under the Transfer Act, some teachers alleged massive discrepancies and representations were submitted at the levels of the directorate and the government, demanding redressal.
