Defence minister Rajnath Singh said that the Central and State governments are making all efforts to rescue the 41 workers stuck in the partially caved-in Silkyara tunnel and that they will be rescued soon. Central and State agencies are working round the clock to rescue the workers and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is personally monitoring the rescue operation, he said.
Singh said this while talking to media persons after arriving in Haldwani along with Dhami to attend the wedding of Union minister of State for Defence and Tourism, Ajay Bhatt’s daughter on Sunday. Speaking about the Vidhan Sabha elections in five States, the Union minister said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is going to form the government in all these five States.
The BJP is working with this aim in sight. “We will form a strong government in these States without the need for any other party as we will form a majority government,” Singh said.
