With the improvement in travel facilities, State sportspersons will not face as many inconveniences when traveling for their matches, said Sports minister Rekha Arya. She said this after receiving a government order requiring State sportspersons to travel by third AC coach train instead of general class by train on Monday.
Arya expressed happiness over the recent government order, stating that it will greatly benefit the national players of their state by addressing the inconveniences they faced during travel. Earlier, these players had to endure difficulties while traveling, like using ordinary buses or sleeper trains. However, the new government order mandates that national players will now travel in AC buses or be provided with the facility to travel in the third AC coach of the train, she said.
The Sports minister further emphasised that this decision will significantly improve the travel experiences of the State’s players. Additionally, she said that the State government under the leadership of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has implemented various beneficial schemes for the players like the Mukhyamantri Udyaman Yojana, out-of-turn job facility and a four per cent reservation in government jobs. She further expressed gratitude to the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for the issuance of the government order and extended congratulations and best wishes to all the players.
