Tree plantation conducted at Modern Madarsa under Waqf Board’s guidance

A tree plantation programme was conducted at the Modern Madarsa to mark Harela here on Wednesday under the guidance of Waqf Board chairman Shadab Shams. Many officers present at the event took part in the tree plantation.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal said he was happy to see a Modern Madarsa. He also highlighted the achievements of the Narendra Modi government in myriad fields, mentioning in particular the distribution of free foodgrains to 80 crore people sans discrimination on religious lines and stressed on the need to eradicate social evils from the societal body.
The mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama while focusing on the importance of tree plantation lauded the initiative of Shadab Shams.
The vice-chairman of higher education up-gradation committee Devendra Bhasin emphasised the continuation of the ‘Ek Pedh Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. He further said that protection of women’s dignity and environment besides preservation of cultural heritage should be incorporated in modern education.
Commenting on the education system, the chairperson of the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) Geeta Khanna said that although she has noted improvements in government schools, further efforts should be made to enhance the quality of education. She stressed on the students becoming inquisitive and argumentative. Inculcating an ability in the students to ask questions is an important part of education, she added.
