In Sain, the grieving paternal village of the deceased Chief of Defence Staff, General Bipin Rawat, the Pauri district magistrate Vijay Kumar Jogdande paid floral tributes to the general and his wife on behalf of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday. The DM paid tributes to the departed general and his wife at the village in Dwarikhal block of the district in the presence of the bereaved family’s members and along with the gathering observed two minutes silence.
Jogdande told the family members that he had come to the village on behalf of the CM as he had gone to Delhi to attend the funeral. The DM recalled that a week ago General Rawat had presented certificates to students and given them his blessings at the convocation of the HNB Garhwal Central University in Srinagar. Jogdande expressed condolences to Rawat’s uncle Bharat Singh and other relatives in the village.
