Two youth had kidnapped the boy for their childless aunt to adopt
Police have arrested a woman from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh along with her two nephews in connection with the kidnapping of a boy from Rodibelwala area earlier this month. Both the youth had kidnapped the child to give him to their childless aunt to adopt.Informing the media about the case, superintendent of police (City) Swatantra Kumar Singh said that on December 9, a six-year-old boy was abducted from the Rodi Belwala area of Haridwar. Police recovered the child safely from outside a temple in Deoband, Saharanpur after two weeks.
With the help of CCTV camera footage and network of informers, the police arrested Bittu and Satish, residents of Muzaffarnagar and Saharanpur respectively on Saturday and recovered the bike used in the kidnapping. It was learned that both the accused had stolen the bike from Punjab and sold it to Shanky, a resident of Deoband. Shanky later returned the bike due to the absence of valid documentation. Connecting the links, the police arrested Manish Kumar and Vishal –both from Deoband, who had taken the bike from Shanky before he had returned it. The two accused confessed to the kidnapping and said that their aunt was childless and that they had abducted the child from Haridwar and handed him over to their aunt. Due to the police activity in the case, the woman had abandoned the child outside a temple. The police also arrested the aunt- Sakshi. The SP said that all the three accused will be produced in the court.
