The MP from Haridwar Lok Sabha constituency and former chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat met Uttar Pradesh CM, Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow on Tuesday. The two leaders discussed many important issues in the meeting.
Rawat requested UP CM to approve the proposal of Iqbalpur Nangal project.
He said that once completed the project will provide irrigation facility in 15,280 hectares of land in Uttarakhand and 17,850 hectares of land in Uttar Pradesh.
Rawat said that thousands of farmers of Bhagwanpur, Bahadarabad and Roorkee will get benefit from the project. The farmers of 85 villages of Saharanpur district of UP will also get benefit from the project.
