Trivendra Singh Rawat & Ajay Tamta file nominations in Lok Sabha polls

Former chief minister and senior BJP leader Trivendra Singh Rawat filed his nomination digitally in the Haridwar Lok Sabha constituency while BJP’s sitting MP Ajay Tamta filed his nomination in the Almora-Pithoragarh parliamentary constituency on Friday. Rawat was accompanied by sitting MP and former chief minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, party MLAs and supporters while filing his nomination. He shared on social media that he was feeling emotional and also eager while digitally filing his nomination from Haridwar constituency. “This marks the start of a new journey for me. From being elected as an MLA from the Doiwala Assembly constituency to filing nomination as the MP candidate from pilgrimage city Haridwar has been an emotional experience,” he stated on Facebook soon after filing his nomination.
He further assured the people of Haridwar that he will walk every step of the way with them. “You will find me standing with you in happiness and sorrow. The spate of development is not going to stop. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the whole nation is ready to walk with the BJP which is working on the PM’s mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabha Prayas’,” he added.
In the Almora-Pithoragarh parliamentary constituency, sitting MP Ajay Tamta filed his nomination in the presence of BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt and cabinet minister Rekha Arya along with his supporters. “My eyes were moist, the mind was emotional and the atmosphere was joyous because I filed the nomination as the Lok Sabha candidate from Almora-Pithoragarh constituency for the fourth time as a public servant. From the Panchayat to Lok Sabha member, my journey has been entirely dedicated to public welfare in this parliamentary constituency. I assure the people of the constituency that every moment of my life will remain dedicated to their service. I will not let the development works underway in the constituency stop,” he stated on social media.
