The Bharatiya Janata Party has termed the Congress’ demand for a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) paper leak case a political stunt. The BJP stated that the Congress needs to have patience and faith in the ongoing investigation being conducted by the State’s Special Task Force (STF).
The BJP State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said that the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had already assured in the past that even prominent and influential persons will not be spared if guilty and if needed, the government can ask for the investigation to be done by another agency. The government is alert regarding cancelling the questionable recruitments and facilitating new recruitments in a time bound manner. A day ago, the chief minister had held a meeting with senior officials and directed that the investigation be expedited while adding that strict action should be taken against the guilty. Chauhan said that the investigation has been satisfactory so far and the opposition should come forward to raise the morale of the investigation agency. “The speed and reliability with which the investigation has moved forward so far is definitely appreciable.
Considering this, the political parties should also display some patience so that the investigating agencies can take the investigation to its conclusion without any pressure,” said the BJP State media in-charge. He further said that this matter is related to the interests of the unemployed persons and that one needs to rise above party politics to think in a constructive manner on the subject. The BJP government is working to eradicate corruption in employment and intends to take strict action against the guilty. This is the time when the investigating agencies need support. Chauhan further said that Congress leaders cannot even imagine their own government working with the speed at which the Dhami government has acted in all the recruitment scams which have come to light so far. The authorities will reach to the root of the scam and ensure that every criminal of the organised gang is brought to book, added the BJP State media in-charge.
