In an interesting case about which police remain clueless, a newlywed woman went suddenly missing while roaming about Ganga with her husband in Rishikesh at around 11 am. During this time, the woman was talking to her sister over mobile phone. Her husband suddenly heard her scream and did not find his wife there while her mobile phone was found on a stone and her sandals were also found. Police said that the couple has been identified as Himanshu Pachori and Nandini, residents of Firozpur, Uttar Pradesh. Police station in-charge Ritesh Shah said that they had suspected animal attack or sudden drowning in the river. SDRF was deployed. But later a call came to police from Nandini’s brother-in-law. He told police that Nandini had reached her home in Firozpur. Police are still clueless as to how the woman had left for Firozpur, leaving behind her mobile phone and sandals.
