Two-day solar fair concludes in Dehradun

The two-day solar fair Saur Kauthig concluded at the Rangers Ground here on Tuesday. Addressing the valedictory session, the Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) managing director Anil Kumar Yadav said that the corporation is committed to fulfill the vision of net zero emission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi by the year 2027.
He claimed that the UPCL has set a record by installing the targeted 100 per cent solar rooftop plants in Uttarakhand. The MD said that the installation of solar panels will play a key role in maintaining ecological balance. He said that the corporation has set up a control room at the UPCL headquarters for addressing all the grievances of the customers on solar panels.
In her address, the additional secretary and director of UREDA Ranjana Rajguru appreciated the UPCL for organising a successful solar fair which is the first of its kind in the State. She said that a large number of people have got information about the solar panels and their benefits in the fair.
The UPCL director (Operations) MR Arya, chief engineer of the solar cell Ashish Arora, chief project manager of UREDA Manoj Kumar and others were present in the programme.
