Two deaths, 624 new Covid- 19 cases in U’khand

The state health department reported the death of two patients from novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Uttarakhand on Monday. It also reported 624 new cases of the disease while 4,062 patients recovered from the infection on the same day.
The state health department has so far detected 85,076 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 69,979 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 202 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 82.25 per cent on Monday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 3.06 per cent on the day.
The authorities reported the death of one patient each at India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh and Sushila Tiwari government hospital Haldwani on Monday.
The health department reported 193 new patients from Dehradun, 63 from Haridwar, 92 from Udham Singh Nagar, 78 from Almora, 55 from Pauri, 49 from Nainital, 37 from Rudraprayag, 19 from Uttarkashi, 10 from Pithoragarh, eight each from Bageshwar, Chamoli and Tehri and four from Champwat on Monday.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 12,239. Dehradun with 6,152 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Pauri has 1,934 active cases of the disease which is followed by Haridwar district with 607 active cases. Uttarkashi is at the bottom of the table with 59 active cases of the disease. In the ongoing vaccination drive 49,186 people were vaccinated in 1,350 sessions in the state held on Monday.
