Two Doon residents die in car accident in Chamoli

Two Dehradun residents died in a car accident on Wednesday after it fell into a deep gorge near Aadi badri, Silphata in Chamoli district. The officials informed that a car carrying three passengers fell into a gorge of about 300 metres on early Wednesday morning. The officials said that when the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) arrived on the scene to conduct rescue operation, two were found to be dead at the spot while one was severely injured who was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. The officials said that as per the information received by locals, the three men were appointed as a teacher in a local school in the district. The police have identified the two deceased as residents of Dehradun- Umed Singh Negi (45) and Himanshu (45). The injured has been identified as Lalit (36 years) who is a resident of Haldwani.
